Our Story
This land has
always been a teacher.
4Growth Farms sits on the banks of the Sampit River in Georgetown County — one of the most ecologically and historically rich corners of South Carolina. The longleaf and loblolly pines that grow here have been part of this landscape for generations, and so have the people who have learned to read, tend, and live alongside them.
We started 4Growth Farms with a simple belief: that working land and learning land don't have to be separate things. A pine stand can be a timber resource and a classroom. A river corridor can produce seedlings and host a school field trip. A farm can feed a community in more ways than one.
Today we manage our pine stands for sustainable timber production, run outdoor education programs for all ages, and open our event spaces to groups who want to gather somewhere that feels alive. Everything we do flows from the same source — a deep respect for this particular piece of ground.

The Land
The Sampit River
runs through everything.
The Sampit River is one of Georgetown County's defining waterways — a blackwater river that winds through cypress swamps, pine flatwoods, and tidal marshes before emptying into Winyah Bay. Our farm sits along its banks, and the river shapes everything we do: the species we grow, the programs we offer, and the way we think about stewardship.
